I must admit, for the last 20 plus years I have not been a fan of Chevy Corvette. Astatically, this American sports car just didn’t do it for me. It’s not that I thought the last model (C6) was that bad (the interior was “blah” to say the least). I always had the same feeling when I looked at it…”meh”
Even though I wasn’t born when it debuted, I am fascinated and in love with the 1976 Corvette Sting Ray. Nothing has ever given me sports car and muscle car at the exact same time like the 76 Sting Ray. The curves, the sleekness, the fat ass tires…I absolutely love this car!
So you have to understand that this one car has ruined all other Corvettes for me.
I hold the 76 Sting Ray as the personification of sexy, masculine coolness…for me no other Corvette has every come close to satisfying me…NEVER!

Alright, the 0-60 in four seconds, 2014 Sting Ray has been completely overhauled inside and out.
I was worried about the new rectangle tail lights, being that 99% of all the Corvette’s previous tail lights were round.
I was concerned it would be to “camaro-ish”. No worries because the Vette wears them superbly.

Oh but the interior…finally the house is complete. Leather and carbon fiber, all digital instrument panel dash and gauges. Dripping with American sports care luxury.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe goes on sale in the third quarter of 2013. It’s believed the Corvette will start at $49,600. That is more than $30,000 below the Porsche 911. Chevy came with the heat on this one.
Word on the street is this Vette is faster than a Porsche 911 and can even out run a Ferrari Enzo…hmmm
So I have to ask myself the question. If I had $200,000 to spend on a sports car and my two options were the Ferrari California or the 2014 Corvette Sting Ray, which one would I buy?
The interior, the body, the vents, the power and because it gives me some hints of muscle car; I think I would go with the Corvette.
All that being said…when you take a step back, either you hate it or you love it.
